15 Easy Easter Dessert Ideas You Can Make in 30 Minutes

Easter is the perfect holiday to go into full creative mode and bake some adorable treats. Whether you plan an Easter brunch, family gathering or just a fun activity with your kids, these Easter dessert ideas won’t disappoint.

Cute bunny butt cupcakes, carrot-shaped cones, chocolate eggs, and floral tarts will look exceptionally good on your tray this year. Easy to make, budget-friendly, and praised by both adults and children. Let’s explore the best Easter dessert ideas you can make this season.

1. Easter Chocolate Bark

Making chocolate bark is super easy and fast. Simply melt your favourite type of chocolate, spread it on baking paper and decorate with your favourite treats. Use Easter-themed sprinkles, mini eggs, marshmallows or crushed cookies. Place it into the freezer, and once hardened, cut it into pieces with a sharp knife.

2. Easter Rice Krispie Nests

Such an Easter classic! Mix melted marshmallows and butter with cereal, and shape into nests. Add some mini chocolate eggs or jelly beans for the aesthetic effect.

3. Bunny Sugar Cookies

You can’t mess up with these. Use bunny-shaped cookie cutters, pull out your best sugar cookie dough recipe, and once the baking part is done, get into decorating. Pastel colours, sprinkles or even edible glitters are popular choices, especially if you plan to give them.

4. Easter Dirt Cups

One of the easiest Easter/spring desserts to make. Layer chocolate pudding with crushed Oreos or chocolate cake. Then decorate the top with preferred decorations. Some people use chocolate eggs, store-bought bunnies or Easter-themed sprinkles. Or, as you can see in the image below, chocolate-covered strawberries that resemble yummy carrots.

5. Bunny Cupcakes

This dessert is super popular right now, especially the “bunny butt” version. Decorate your cupcakes to resemble a cute bunny using marshmallow ears (they sell them in almost any store), coconut flakes for fur, or pink candy for noses or paws. They’re almost too cute to eat!

6. Easter Cake Pops

Instagram and Pinterest are filled with ideas for cake pop shapes, such as Easter eggs, carrots, bunnies, and cute chicks. Honestly, there are so many ways to decorate and drizzle them that I couldn’t choose just one design. Now my fridge is filled with Easter cake pops!

7. Chick Macarons

Okay, this one is a little bit more advanced, but it’s so worth it. Because I struggle to bake macarons myself, I bought premade macaron shells and then decorated them as adorable little chicks. Use orange icing for the beak and chocolate for the eyes. Try to contact your local baker about purchasing macaron shells without filling.

8. Easter Bunny Pancakes

Turn your Sunday pancakes into adorable little bunnies. You can use the bottle for batter, drawing, and cooking each piece or use banana slices, whipped cream, and chocolate to draw on a single pancake. Kids love decorating their own bunny, so you can also cut different fruits on the side and let them be creative.

9. Chocolate Egg Brownies

We make these every year because they are super easy to bake and look great on a display when we have family gatherings. Simply bake your favourite brownies and top them with mini chocolate eggs. Some people choose to bake it in. You can also drizzle white chocolate with food colouring on top.

10. Easter Marshmallow Pops

If you are looking for the easiest Easter treat to win your kid’s hearts, without extra mess, this one is for you. Stick marshmallows onto skewers and dip them in melted chocolate, then decorate with sprinkles or pastel icing. Like with the cake pops, there are so many cute designs on Pinterest to choose from.

11. Mini Egg Cheesecake

A creamy cheesecake topped with crushed Cadbury Mini Eggs is a chocolate lover’s dream. All you need to do is make your favourite cheesecake recipe, but transfer it into a tray for cupcakes or individual paper trays. We add some crushed mini eggs into the cheese filling for that extra crunch. Our all-time favourite recipe is from the fitwafflekitchen on Instagram.

12. Carrot Cake Cupcakes

Carrot cake is one of the most traditional Easter desserts. The combination of spiced cake and cream cheese frosting is always a winner. But since you don’t want to bother with the whole cake, then carrot cake cupcakes are the best alternative. This creator’s recipe never disappoints.

13. Daisy Lemon Tarts

The absolute winner for this spring is daisy lemon tarts, and you can find the full recipe and tutorial on my Pinterest profile or click here. Simply make your favourite dough for tarts, cut it with a flower-shaped cookie cutter and press it into a cupcake tray, while allowing enough space individually. Once baked, fill them with lemon custard or other lemon-flavoured filling.

14. Coconut Easter Energy Balls

Do you have some of the carrot cake dough left? Great! Roll it into small balls, cover in coconut flakes and freeze for about 30 minutes. You can do the same with lemon or chocolate cake dough.
